Joshua Whitehead

Joshua Whitehead is an Oji-nêhiyaw, Two-Spirit member of Peguis First Nation (Treaty 1). He is the author of full-metal indigiqueer (Talonbooks 2017) and Jonny Appleseed (Arsenal Pulp Press 2018) which most recently won Canada Reads 2021. He is also the editor of the Lambda award winning anthology, Love after the End: an Anthology of Two-Spirit and Indigiqueer Speculative Fiction (Arsenal 2020). His forthcoming non-fiction manuscript, Making Love with the Land is slated to release 2022 with Knopf Canada. Currently he is an ABD doctoral student at the University of Calgary where he focusses on Indigenous Literatures and Cultures.
